Hello!
The Move has happened and I am currently in Singapore, where it is 4:21 AM on Saturday.
Guhhh.
I am awake because my plane landed at 7:00 AM on Friday and I tried to stay up as long as possible so as to acclimate to the time difference.
I fell asleep at 4:00 PM. And am now very very awake.
Oops.
So, this isn’t a normal Friday Things because, well, I was on a plane for 21 hours. On this plane ride I slept uncomfortably, watched five movies, got a massive lack-of-caffeine headache (which I remedied once I realized I hadn’t had enough coffee. It just took a while to figure out that was the issue.), did not read anything successfully (woe.), and didn’t even dream of pulling out my laptop to work on writing anything.
I am an airplane productivity failure, basically.
But! I watched Belle, a British period piece set in the 18th century (COSTUMES) and dealt with how a white, respected, titled family raised a mixed ethnicity child.
Which sounds like a really hard movie to watch, but it’s quite good. And has Tom Felton being HORRIBLE in it. I feel like I would like Tom IRL, but I mean this in the best way and with love when I say he’s wonderful at playing horrible characters.
So, I think that’s kind of it? I know.
But I need to figure out how to make my phone work in Singapore and also how to make my hair dryer, which has a two-prong plug, fit into the outlets here, which are three pronged. I am a very confused, frenzied expat, is what I’m saying.
Happy Friday everyone!
